What we did in class
This week we began our posters. Our posters are not just to warn students of the dangers of hot things, but also to show our science understanding of heat processes.
Our posters need to communicate the heat producer, heat source/sources and heat transfer. For example: The sun produces heat which warms the sand. The sand becomes the heat source which will burn your feet at the beach as the heat is transferred by conduction. You can warn students about this danger and suggest ways to not get burned feet, like wear rubber thongs because rubber is a good insulator which slows the flow of heat. You can do a labelled diagram with heat flow arrows, or a comic style picture, but remember the poster needs to show your understanding of heat processes to get the best grade possible. No photos this week, but be sure to watch the revision video. Links
